Regular fluid services extend their life dramatically — and when something does go wrong, an accurate diagnosis matters, because 'transmission problem' can be anything from a $50 sensor to a full rebuild. How often should an automatic transmission be serviced?

Most manufacturers recommend somewhere between 40,000 and 100,000 km depending on the vehicle and how it's used — towing and stop-start driving shorten the interval. If it's never been done and the car has some kilometres on it, it's worth a chat before symptoms appear.

How do I know my clutch is on the way out?

Slipping under load (revs rise but the car doesn't accelerate), a high or vague biting point, shudder on take-off, or difficulty getting gears are the usual signs. We can confirm with a road test and quote the job before any work starts.

Do you service DSG / dual-clutch gearboxes?

Yes — DSG and dual-clutch boxes have their own service requirements and fluids, and skipping them is a common cause of expensive failures. We have the equipment and experience to service them properly, including European models.
